Art of Rhetoric by Aristotle is the modes of persuasion that classifies the speaker's appeal to the audience. Ethos, Pathos and Logos.
Ethos means: That the audience listens to the presenter as the presenter is qualified to speak on particular subjects, for example by being a notable figure in the notable figure in the field in question, such as a executive of a company whose business is that of the subject.
Pathos means: Pathos is used to get into the audiences emotions and to achieve this, it can be used from a simile, metaphor or a passionate delivery. Pathos is used to get into the audience's imagination and hopes.
Logos means: to convince an audience by use of logic or reason. For example, a presenter has a bunch of stastistics to prove that something is true.
Celebrity endorsement: Air Jordan uses Michael Jordan to feature in one of the commericial's.
Extreme Exaggeration: Money Supermarket is trying to exaggerate how you will feel after getting a good quote on a car insurance.
Symbolic: It is showing that when you smoke a cigarette, it's like smoking a cancer tumor.
Evoke Emotion: It is showing a young child who had Leukemia but McDonalds helped him and his family to stay closer.
Demographic postioning: It is showing that Yorkie Bars are a fuel for men, not for women.
