Qualititive Research
This type of Research is based on opinions, attitudes and preferences rather than facts and figures. For example if you have 10 out of a possible 20 people that listen to a radio station in a class, you'd ask the 10 people who don't listen to it the reasons why and gather data. A big example of Qualitative Research would be Twitter, where you can easily see 'trends (#)' and see what people have to say about various things from around the world.
Quantitative Research
Quantitive Research involves collecting facts and information that can be counted, producing numerical and statistical data. Quantitative research is a quantifiable research approach in which raw data is collected and turned into usable information by mathematical manipulation that leads to forward-looking predictions.
